  This is one of those ideas for which the market would seem to me to be &lt;br&gt; nonexistent, but if you think they were so good that people would rather &lt;br&gt; use Super 8 cameras with some kind of Frankensensor than modern HD &lt;br&gt; cameras then you should find an engineer to work with you, put together &lt;br&gt; a design concept, and go hunt for some venture capital.

  Pardon my 70&#39;s science vernacular but I was attempting encompass &lt;br&gt; the range of sensor chips rather than just calling them CCD. &lt;br&gt; Are you talking about full-motion &lt;br&gt; HD video. &lt;br&gt; The Bolex beam splitter on their early reflex cameras came &lt;br&gt; to mind. Light would not be diverted to a viewfinder but a &lt;br&gt; side mounted sensor. I don&#39;t know if this is possible given
